Straight external halyard
This unique flagpole pulls apart into 3 two-metre sections. It comes in an anodised finish complete with halyard and cleat. The bottom section of the pole is planted into the ground socket (included in the package). The pole is supplied in a pre-packaged cardboard box complete with instructions. It could be also mounted on the spigot, secured in the concrete foundation.

One Halyard
It is a system which has only one internal halyard, similar to the normal flag.
It is simple, practical, easy to operate, suitable for the medium size banner > up to 3.5 It can be used without any extender. However using the display can be improved in by implementing the flexible polyester rod, which spreads the banner in the still weather.
Double necklace counter weight is recommended to keep the banner close to the pole and pull it down
Two Halyard
Banner Poles – two halyards
It is a system with two halyards ( top and bottom) allowing to spread /stretch the banner for neat display and keep it close to the pole
It requires double pulley in the middle of the pole to serve the bottom halyard
Banners can be hoisted with or without an extender a flexible polyester rod, which spreads the banner in the still weather.

However two halyards are connected together and form the loop
There are some advantages of this solution
- Functional – multiple flags displayed attached to the section of the rope between to pulleys
- Operational – linear counter weight can be used to lower the halyards
Rigid Arms “F” Banner Pole”
Are used for smaller banners (up to 0.9 x 2.5 m)
They have to be made of steel to increase the pole strength because of the load from the wind eliminates other material like aluminium
For the same reasons, they are only up to 6 -7 m high
Banners typically are made of vinyl and installed between arms
The spreader is used at the lower arm to stretch the banner

Super Banner Pole
LaMer developed these poles together with Melbourne City Council many years back
We keep this traditional name for this kind of banner poles. They were designed for
- Size of the banners > 4.5 (and longer) x 1.8 m
- The strength of the banner poles performing in all weather condition
- Public safety as the intention was to install them in areas exposed to the public and heavy traffic
They are step tapered poles, therefore are extra strong because of the thickness of the wall of the aluminium , overlapping inside , straight high tensile tubes , no heat treatment which is implemented during the machine or hand tapering.
They are not replaceable with any other designs

These poles are widely used by councils and large venues. They are attractive looking, maintenance free with the following features:

SPINNER 360- rotating banner pole’s finial details
operational /functional
- the banner is slid into the bar’s truck
- the unique halyards system allows to hoist the bar (with banner) and dock into the arm
- the s/s ball swivel of the rope system allows to rotate 360 degrees either directions
- lower halyard is secured by the jam cleat
- rings -attached along the front banner edge – allow to keep the banner close to the pole

Footing Components
Straight Spigot
It is a simple, galvanised steel straight tube, which can be set in the pier concrete foundation. It performs adequately and conforms requirements
It is the most economical solution for footing
Flanged Spigot
It is a steel tube welded to the base with gussets. This solution requires holding down bolts , set up in the concrete foundation. The base is secured and leveled by nuts . Grouting is required between base and concrete foundation
Hinged Base
This solution is used when occasional lowering the whole pole is required
It is especially appreciated in the cyclone zone areas or for banners changing to avoid cost of elevating platform. It is also used to serve poles where frequent attentions or maintenance is frequently required( like surveillance camera poles or generator poles, antennae poles )
It is a spigot base connected to additional plate by a hinge
Ground Sockets
Ground socket can be set up in paved area , concrete slab or in the lawn
It could be installed even on the timber pier
It is used in the situation where permanent flagpoles cannot be allowed ( like heritage building/sites) or where events are organized periodically
It is a convenient way of managing the temporary flagpole arrangement for different occasions.
The pole is easy removable from the socket, transported and stored
When the pole is taken from the socket the flap cover is in the “close down” flat position and it is not obstructive for pedestrians or traffic
It has also practical feature: the pole can be secured by padlock
It can accommodate poles up to 7.5 meters.
Lawn Anchor
Very practical and cheap ways of setting up lighter poles in the soft grounds (lawns , fields etc. )
It is specially popular with festivals or events organizers where poles are needed for short time in unexpected temporary locations
It is knocked into the ground by the hammer and flagpole with the spigot is set in
Slip Bases
When flagpoles are exposed to the traffic ( especially in the median ) ,
Road Authorities or City Councils might require to use Slip Bases
between foundations and the flanged spigots.
Slip Base is designed in the way which allows the pole to slide off when it is hit by car.
There are different rules in different areas. Therefore local authorities have to decide if slip bases are required in the nominated site
Portable Base
The base is used in the situations where temporary flagpole arrangement is required and there ‘s no other way of securing pole into the ground

Anodising
Anodising
The best protection for aluminium is anodising. It is an electrolytic process of creating an aluminium oxide layer on the aluminium surface, which improves it’s features.
The layer hardens the surface (next to the diamond on the hardness scale) and –even more important-stops electro corrosion. The layer is connected by chemical bonds to the metal, therefore protects the aluminium indefinitely (unlike the paint or powder coating which deteriorates in time by the weather condition especially UV).
Anodising also improves aesthetics by the elegant satin finish.
LaMer has anodising facilities, unique in the industry. 20 meters long tanks (longest in Autralia) allow to deliver the service to the marine and construction industries where the long items are essential.
